Kathy Manning, an Electronic Services Librarian from Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki posted the following message today on NZ-Libs Listserv:


"I am wondering if any libraries out there are responsible for managing
all the photos/images (particularly digital) that belong to your
organization or company. If so, can you please contact me off list as I
have some questions for you"

In my library our photograph collections are gradually being digitized and added to our online catalogue to enable browsing and searching. One such example is the Chelsea Archives collection at Birkenhead Library.

I will be interested to contact her to hear about the replies from other libraries.
